Old South Church
A national historic landmark and one of the finest basilicas in North America. It was designed in the Venetian Gothic style and completed in 1875 for a congregation founded in 1669.Below: The campanile, on the western end of the church, is 246 feet tall and houses a 2020 lb bell. Model for Decorum
Gothic meets drugs, sex and rock and roll. Not such an unusual mix actually, it's just that we generally don't think gothic church. This place has actually been a neighborhood problem and has had a sordid history. It has been a night club since 1983, -Model for Decorum
Tower Rehab
This is Holy Trinity (German) Church, which is in the South End on Shawmut Ave. There was a sign out front about the Tower rehab project, which stated that the church was built in 1877, and the steeple was lost in a hurricane in 1938. It didn't look -Tower Rehab
Saint Cecilia Parish
In the late 1800s the maids ("Irish working out girls") and coachmen serving the Yankee aristocracy of the Back Bay section of Boston requested a church of their own. Saint Cecilia Parish was established in 1888 and the church was dedicated in 1894.C -Saint Cecilia Parish
Marriott’s Custom House
In 1915 a 496-foot tower was added to the old Custom House making it the tallest building in Boston for 49 years. When custom officials moved to the Tip O'Neill building in 1986, the Custom House was declared surplus property; it remained unoccupied -Marriott’s Custom House
