Oh look! I saw a pretty flowering tree, and I took pictures of it’s flowers! I’m sure you’re all shocked. ;)

Leyre and I took a walk through Arnold Arboretum this morning, where they were celebrating the 100th anniversary of their Lilac Sunday festival. The weather was beautiful, despite the forecast earlier this week predicting a horrible, rainy weekend. There were families and dogs everywhere,

which is no good for me since I’ve got serious doggy fever right now (but can’t have a dog in my apartment).

Parade time!
The city is going to be wicked busy this weekend with two major parades. Bunker Hill Day parade, in Charlestown, commemorating the crucial 1775 battle against the British during the American Revolution.And the 2008 Boston Pride parade; the theme this -Parade time!

The Longfellow, a troubled bridge.
I took these night shots of workers replacing steel ties on the Longfellow Bridge earlier this month, a couple of days before state officials closed one of the bridge's sidewalks. 700 ties have been replaced so far, but the beautiful old bridge is in -The Longfellow, a troubled bridge.
